Adult Services

Empowerment Services, LLC. delivers individualized employment alternatives and life-skills support and training to teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities. Most of our clients have disabilities that are widely considered to be somewhere on the "Autism Spectrum". Given our clients' unique behavioral and sensory needs, each client has a highly customized support plan to assist him or her in practicing various life skills. During the time a client is receiving services at Empowerment Services, LLC., he or she works to improve his or her functional daily living skills, social skills, communication, behavior regulation, problem solving, and perspective-taking. 

We use a tool called "My Life Binder", which incorporates all the strategies that are known to support the client based upon his or her individual disability and/or learning style. In this binder, there are customized sections to support the client, including a daily schedule, a thermometer, social stories, choice options, etc. We offer support to families and other agencies to help them understand these concepts, so that they can be transferred and generalized into all aspects of the client's life. Each client's ISP, Brokerage, County and/or IEP goals are incorporated into their daily planned activities while they are at Empowerment Services, LLC.
